Traffic congestion and parental parking too close to school entrances can put young children at risk, especially during school run times. In an effort to highlight these dangers to parents and guardians, the Road Safety Unit produces an informative leaflet called Safety Outside Schools for parents. These are personalised for each school and are produced in partnership with GovernorsI and Headteachers oulining the problems and dangers that indiscriminate parking outside schools causes.
