USER AND CARER GROUPS & DROP-INS

There are a number of support groups and drop in services in Barnsley for drug and alcohol users and for family members affected by someone else's drug or alcohol use. We are aware that there are many community-based organisations that provide support of this nature to some individuals, but have not included these here unless substance misuse is a major part of their work. If you contact any of the groups in this section or the Service User Involvement Development Worker, then they will be able to advise you on other groups available.

The above role is to provide support to individual service users, help them to establish self help groups and encourage them to have their say about the services they receive.
