Home Care Bill Payments:
Please do not try to pay before receiving your first bill on or after the 1st of August.
Payment to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council in respect of Home Care bills can be made using any of the following payment methods:
1. DEBIT CARD OVER THE TELEPHPONE
(SWITCH/VISA DEBIT/DELTA CARDS)
To pay your invoice by Debit Card, please ring 01226 774773 between 08:30 am and 05:00 pm Monday to Thursday or between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm Fridays and have the following information ready:-

2. DIRECT DEBIT
Recurring payments may be made by Direct Debit. Please ring 01226 774773 between 08:30 am and 05:00 pm Monday to Thursday or between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm Fridays for an application form.
3. CASH OR CHEQUE AT YOUR LOCAL BARNSLEY CONNECTS SERVICE CENTRE

4. PAYMENT CARD:
Payment cards can be used to allow payment with cash, cheque or Debit Card at many convenient UK locations including all Post Office™ branches, Pay Point, payzone and e-pay outlets.
Take your invoice and Payment Card to any Post Office or participating outlets and present them both with the payment. The cashier will return to you your invoice and Payment Card and will give you a receipt as proof of payment. As the payment is handled by the Post Office or the participating outlet it may take a few working days before it reaches Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
5. POST:
Cheques and Postal Orders should be crossed and made payable to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. They should not be made payable to an individual officer.
Post –dated cheques will not be accepted.
Please quote the payment reference number on the back of your cheque.
Receipts are not normally issued for postal payments.

6. INTERNET BANKING:

7. STANDING ORDER THROUGH YOUR BANK:

8. BACS
Payable to the Co-operative Bank Barnsley, Sort Code 08-90-88. Credit Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Income Account 61020016 and quote your Payment reference Number shown overleaf.
If you are unable to pay your Home Care invoice for any reason, please ring 01226 774773 between 08:30 am and 05:00 pm Monday to Thursday or between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm Fridays. Depending on your financial circumstances, it may be possible for you to pay by instalments.

Q. Why can’t I pay with stamps?
A. Payment by stamps fixed to cards has been ceased since July 2007. Alternative payment methods as detailed above have been made available.
Q. How much do I pay for Non-residential Adult Social Care Home Care services
A. £5 per hour up to a maximum charge of £60 or the customer’s assessed disposable income per week, whichever is the smaller.
Q. How do I obtain a swipe card?
A. All Customers should receive a swipe card just before their first bill (Post August 2007). If the card does not arrive please let your Assessment and Care Team know and they can chase the card supplier. They can also order new cards to replace lost damaged or stolen cards.

Q. How often do I receive a charge and what is the charge for?
A. Bills are sent out monthly to Customers in receipt of non-residential adult social care. The bill should be paid within 30 days of receipt. The bill is for homecare and/or Day Care services which were scheduled for delivery in the preceding month.
