Once more we are approaching winter and the additional risk that this poses to health. This is particularly true for older people, families with young children and those who have chronic illness or who are vulnerable to illness due to disability.
As you may know, Keep Warm, Keep Well is an annual campaign that provides useful advice on how to stay healthy during winter months, together with information about financial and practical help that is available.

There are a number of useful tips in leaflets from Help the Aged, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council's Forward From 50 guide and Your Choice Handbook of Services for Older People in Barnsley.
