Day services are provided following assessment by Adult Social Services at specialised day units managed by BMBC and also by voluntary and charitable groups. The centres main aim is to assist people to maintain their independence, teach skills for everyday living in addition to offering a range of social activities and help with personal care if required. A cooked meal is provided and refreshments are available throughout the day. There is a charge for day care. Transport to and from the centres can also be arranged. To arrange an informal visit either contact the Centre Manager or your local Adult Social Services Office. Social Services are responsible for assessing what help should be given to people who need day care.
