Q: How many people can you cater for?
A: Rooms at Cannon Hall cater for groups of up to eighty delegates with small seminar rooms available that can accommodate 2-12 people. In the Spencer Wing a number of layouts can be provided and equipped with TV/Video, OHP, multi-media projector, screen and freestanding flipchart if required. The Seminar rooms have a wall mounted white board or flipchart and OHP and screen available. All rooms have at least two double electrical sockets.
Q: Do you do catering?
A: Our in-house caterer can provide Buffet lunches on the day. However, if you are not booking a full day event and do not require lunch, then tea, coffee and biscuits or cakes are available. Menu details are available on request.
Special diets, for example gluten free or vegetarian need to be identified on your booking form.
Lunch will be served in your conference suite or the Stanhope Room, depending on numbers. Parties may be served in the Servants Hall (subject to availability) offering delegates the chance to experience life "below stairs". Hot meals are available on request.
At least 7 days notice is required for catering arrangements. We will try to meet your requests for increased numbers on the day, however a 50% charge is made for cancellations, or reductions, of less than 7 days notice (less than 48 hours notice of reductions/cancellations - 100% charged).
Q: Are the rooms suitable for wheelchair users?
A: The Spencer Wing is fully accessible, with an adapted toilet nearby. Disabled visitors can park in the car park adjacent to the Spencer Wing.
Q: What is included in the hire charge?
A: As part of the hire charge, we can provide flip chart paper and pens, an overhead projector and screen, television and video and CD player, subject to availability.
Q: What other facilities do you have to offer?
A: You can take advantage of the beautiful gardens by having lunch in the Walled Garden. Should delegates wish to wander around the grounds themselves, we can arrange a picnic lunch to enjoy 'al fresco'.
Why not try our orienteering course, it makes a great team building activity, and its free to conference delegates. Please book in advance.
Don't forget that we offer a corporate hospitality service, which includes evenings and weekends. We can tailor make a corporate package to suit your needs. Clients in the past have enjoyed champagne and canapes served in the Ballroom accompanied by piano music. Why not try our luxury afternoon tea, served in the Walled Garden with music by a string quartet.
Q: What other services do you offer conferences?
A: Delegates can enjoy the formal gardens and parkland during their breaks. We can also provide up to 38 orienteering maps. When the museum is open to the public, delegates can tour the museum for free, or pre-arrange a guided tour.
