Education at the Elsecar Heritage Centre

Educational workshops for schools and groups range from Historical Walks around the Elsecar Village (looking at life through the industrial revolution), Victorian Classroom sessions and trips to the Newcomen Beam Engine (the only one in the world still on its original site).

Walks: for 7 year olds to adults
Victorian Classroom: for 4 year olds to adults.
Newcomen Beam Engine: for 7 year olds to adults (please note, access limited and size of groups restricted due to the make-up of the building, please ring for further information)

Charges/Fees

Newcomen Beam Engine - £1.00
Walks - £1.50
Victorian Classroom - £3

Customers can pay by cash or cheques (payable to BMBC), Credit/Debit cards are not accepted.

Opening Times/Locations

Times: 10.00am to 4.30pm
Other times can be arranged depending on the size of the groups.
