The Council's Publication Scheme

The Council is working hard to make information accessible and aims to avoid withholding information from the public without good reason. A great deal of information is available publicly through our web-site, through our offices and libraries.

This Publication Scheme published on the 28th February, 2003 along with the full introduction of the Freedom of Information Act in 2005 will help us to continue to make our information on services more open and accessible to the public of Barnsley.

To make more information available to the public

To inform the public of the types of information held by and available from the Council

To provide appropriate contact details for obtaining specific categories of information
