How do I set up a Direct Debit?
Direct Debits for Council Tax
You can set up a Direct Debit for Council Tax or Business Rates by downloading a form.
- Print the form.
- Fill in your details and choose the date you wish the payment to be taken from your account
- Post the form to us (the address is on the form).
- When we receive the form we will automatically send you a schedule showing the amounts to be collected and confirming the monthly collection date.
You can choose to pay your bill in 10 or 12 instalments. If you choose to pay in 10 instalments, you can pay on the 12th, 18th, or 25th of the month. If you decide to pay in 12 instalments, the Direct Debit will be taken on the 5th of the month.
Direct Debits for other Barnsley Council bills
