Building Control

Building Control is responsible for ensuring a healthy and safe built environment within the borough. This is achieved by ensuring that new building works comply with the national building regulations.

The building regulations legislate for:

  • The health, safety and welfare of people in and around buildings.
  • The conservation of fuel and power.
