Article: Council - commercial activities - MOT testing Article Body Barnsley Council has an authorised MoT Test Station for Classes 4, 5 light and 7. The station is open to the general public (by appointment only) for the testing of vehicles in the above classes. To book an appointment please telephone: 01226 774194 giving your name, telephone number, registration number, make and model of the vehicle to be tested. Please ensure that you give clear information over the telephone. Please make sure you book well in advance as the station is very busy and arrive in plenty of time for your appointment. We are open from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and can be found at the following address:- Fleet Services, Smithies Lane Depot, Barnsley, S71 1NL. On arrival please report to security to gain access to the depot and obtain directions to the test station. Fees apply and are as follows: MoT Test £45. Partial Re-Test Free (within ten working days) Note: Only one partial re-test per full MoT test is allowed. Full Re-Test £45 (after ten working days). Payment is by cash/cheque made payable to Barnsley MBC at the time of the test.
