DODWORTH Library will be closed from Saturday, 10 July to allow necessary building work to take place
The library will reopen to the public on Saturday, 17 July however some work away from the public area will continue until Wednesday, 21 July.
Cllr Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Customer and Neighbourhood Services said: “Barnsley Council is committed to providing good quality facilities in the borough which meet the required safety standards. Dodworth library is a busy community facility and this work will ensure it has modern, safe systems in place.”
During the closure period, books can be borrowed from or returned to any other library and no fines will be charged for items due back that week.
The nearest libraries for PC and Internet access are Barnsley Central Library or Penistone Library and E-learning Centre, but full details of all libraries in the borough can be found on our the council website: www.barnsley.gov.uk
