Having difficulty paying your council bills?

We urge people to contact us if they have difficulty in paying their council bills. It is often possible to reach a payment agreement and avoid further reminders or a summons.

The staff you talk to have been fully trained and we will try very hard to make an arrangement which suits both you and the council.

However you must understand that you cannot dictate the terms of an arrangement.

We would very much prefer to talk to people who have problems paying their council bills rather than have them ignore the problem hoping it will go away. If you ignore the problem it could lead to additional costs being added to your bill.

If you experience difficulties in paying your Council Bills, please telephone the number shown on the bill in question. Alternatively, you can visit one of our Barnsley Connects Service Centres.
