Article: School closures Article Body In certain circumstances, the headteacher of a school will have to take the decision to close their school, for example if there is no heating, if the school is inaccessible due to bad weather, if there are insufficient members of staff in school, or if the environment is not safe for pupils or staff for any number of reasons. When a headteacher decides to close a school, they will inform the local radio station - Dearne FM, who will broadcast regular updates - and let the council know by emailing an emergency mailbox so that we can do our best to keep parents informed. Any schools that are closed will be listed below.
