Saturday 14th January 2012 Saturday 11th February 2012 Local farmers and producers of foods and crafts bring the very best local produce direct to the public. Buying local produce means that the consumer: has fresher food knows where the food was produced knows how it was produced has direct contact with the producer Buying locally produced: helps all the local businesses and communities allows direct liaison between producers and end-users saves transport costs and cuts pollution The market is open to all traders selling more than 50% of their own produce and based within a fifty mile radius of Penistone. Charges and method of payment Stalls are currently priced at £10 (cash only) which is payable on the day. Opening times/ locations The farmers market is held between 9am and 1pm on the Penistone town market on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
