Article Body

Although it's no longer a statutory requirement, the local authority continues to publish the School Organisation Plan every year because of its value in helping schools, parents, communities and council departments understand the process for planning school places in Barnsley.

The intention of the plan is to show openly and transparently the way the authority makes decisions about organising school places -either adding or removing places to meet pupil needs.  The plan includes statements from relevant local authority policies, statistical information on a Neighbourhood Partnership Board basis and an indication of the actions required to match the number of school places to the number of pupils.

Download the School Organisation Plan 2011 here.  Please be aware that this is a very large file and may be unsuitable for downloading over slower connections.
