NCSL Programme

Leading from the Middle (LfTM) is a three-term personal and professional development programme for middle leaders in primary, secondary and special schools, working in teams with a leadership coach.  The programme offers a blended learning experience by including a range of face-to-face sessions, online activities, and a school-based leadership activity to deliver aims.  For further information please contact Claire Taylor on 01226 720321 or emailclairetaylor@barnsley.gov.uk.

 Would you like to become a fully Qualified Youth  Worker

Study the new Graduate Diploma in Youth Work at Sheffield Hallam University.

Primary Phase, Newly Qualified Teacher Programme 2011/2012

This programme is designed for newly qualified teachers from Primary and Special Schools

This is a 6-day programme.  You may apply for the whole of the programme at a reduced cost or selected days as required.

We are offering you the option of an alternative date for each day being delivered.

Please note that NQTs are only required to attend one date for each of the 6 days as the alternative date is a repeat.

Barnsley has a lot to offer everyone who lives, works and visits. We've a vibrant town centre, with a cosmopolitan mix of cafes, theatres, museums, art galleries and hotels.

Or, if shopping's more your thing, then you'll find plenty of high street stores and of course, our famous seven hundred year old market, open five days a week.

Travel...

Access is from junctions 36, 37 and 38 of the M1 with J37 just 1 mile from the Town Hall (S70 2TA).

We have frequent rail services to mainline stations at Sheffield, Wakefield and Leeds. There are also five airports within one hour of the town centre, namely Manchester, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Nottingham East Midlands and Humberside.
