Article: Parks and open spaces - general information Article Body All our facilities are free of charge and are open seven days a week. There is something for everyone to enjoy, be it sporting activities such as bowls, cricket tennis etc, adventure playgrounds or a stroll around the grounds, which may include ponds or lakes. Many of our local parks have seen improvements within recent years through grant aid and the hard work of the numerous friends groups. These include Mapplewell Park, Darton Park, Monk Bretton Park, Royston Park, Carlton Park, Worsbrough Dale Park, Wombwell Park and Cudworth Park.
