Welcome to the Cooper Gallery Crafts Showcase

At the Cooper Gallery we have a selection of great quality locally handmade cards and gifts. It is the perfect place to pick up a present for that special occasion, or a treat for yourself!

We sell the work of approximately 120 artists through the Crafts Showcase. These artists are hand picked to represent the very best of their fields and are sourced locally, regionally and nationally.
These are just a small selection of the artists we represent:-

  • Julie Pratt - Barnsley based jeweller working in silver and gold
  • Nina Parker - handmade glass-beaded jewellery
  • Loretta Braganza - internationally renowned ceramic artist
  • Sanders and Wallace glassmakers - producers of beautiful glass bottles
  • Bryan Munsey - Sheffield based woodturner who uses reclaimed wood
  • Ann Parkin - locally based textile artist
  • Philip Elliston - Printmaker who specialises in linocuts

Spotlight on! Michael Peckitt


In this section we will introduce you to an individual artist or maker, whose work is on sale at the gallery now.

This time we are taking a close look at the work of Michael and Miranda Peckitt, who produces vibrant and exciting designs in aluminium and acrylic.

Father and daughter Michael and Miranda Peckitt, are the dynamic duo behind Very Colourful Jewellery Ltd.

Pieces are shaped from acrylic and anodised aluminium with fittings handcrafted from sterling silver. High quality materials are used to create vibrant wearable accessories. We currently stock brooches, earrings and bangles and with prices starting from £17 this is an exciting opportunity to purchuse some popular high quality pieces.

Michael and Mirandas work also sells at The Royal Academy in London and has featuring in magazines such as Marie Clare

Access is from junctions 36, 37 and 38 of the M1 with J37 just 1 mile from the Town Hall (S70 2TA).

We have frequent rail services to mainline stations at Sheffield, Wakefield and Leeds. There are also five airports within one hour of the town centre, namely Manchester, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Nottingham East Midlands and Humberside.
