Carriageway lining work at the multi-storey car park of the Metropolitan shopping centre in Barnsley planned for this week has been cancelled.
Freezing temperatures, forecast to continue for several more days, mean the specialist paint used to mark out vehicle areas would not adhere properly to the road surface.
The car park will now be open as normal on Sunday, Monday and Thursday, 12, 13 and 16 February.
Barnsley Council plans to reschedule the re-lining work for late-March.
