Following on from the flooding last week our teams are working across the borough repairing roads and supporting the residents and businesses in areas that were flooded, including Lundwood and the Low Valley.

Road closures

The following roads in the borough are currently closed due to flooding:

Area Road closed
Hemingfield New Road (from Tingle Bridge Lane junction to the roundabout at Lions Lodge) and Smithy Bridge Lane
Penistone Birds Nest Lane 

Please avoid driving through flood water or temporary road closures for your own safety.

The GOV.UK flood information service website shows current flood alerts and warnings, river levels and a 5-day flood risk forecast.

Other closures

Due to poor ground conditions all council owned football pitches will be closed this weekend - Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November.
