Barnsley’s Love Where You Live campaign is praising volunteers, local schools and businesses who came together to help tidy up the town as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
Events including litter picks, clean-ups and planting took place from Friday 22 March to Tuesday 23 April to support the nationwide project launched by Keep Britain Tidy.
Phil Hollingsworth Service Director for Safer, Stronger and Healthier Communities said: “Thank you to all of the hardworking volunteers and teams who took part throughout the clean-up.
“Your great efforts have had a positive impact, helping to make Barnsley a more welcoming place for all to enjoy.”
