Barnsley blossoms in yorkshire in bloom awards.

Barnsley is celebrating its growing reputation in the Yorkshire in Bloom awards. The borough has received a staggering 23 awards this year including category winner for Carlton Marsh Nature Reserve.

The results follow a visit from the Yorkshire in Bloom judges earlier in the year where they assessed a number of green spaces, squares and gardens across Barnsley.

Along with a bunch of awards, special mentions were also given to Oxspring Primary School, which received a discretionary award for ‘Outstanding Small Community’ and Wortley Hall Garden for their conservation efforts.

Barnsley’s results in full were:
