It's that time again when Barnsley is celebrating its exceptional reputation for beautiful landscapes in this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards. This year, the borough received a blossoming total of 22 awards.
The results follow a visit from the Yorkshire in Bloom judges earlier in the year where they assessed several of Barnsley's beautiful green spaces, squares, and gardens.
Barnsley's results in full were:

Barnsley Main Heritage Group – Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces - Silver
Cannon Hall Park and Gardens - Parks Gardens and Open spaces - Platinum
Carlton Marsh Nature Reserve – Parks, Gardens, and Open Spaces - Platinum
Elsecar Park and Nature Reserve – Parks, Gardens, and Open Spaces - Platinum
Friends of Monk Bretton Park – Parks, Gardens, and Open Spaces - Gold
Friends of Monk Bretton Memorial Garden – Parks, Gardens, & Open Spaces - Platinum
Friends of Thurnscoe Park – Parks, Gardens, and Open Spaces - Gold
