Christmas at the Town Hall returns for 2019

Barnsley Council and Santa’s little helpers are busy making final preparations for this year’s Christmas at the Town Hall – an extravaganza of festive fun for all the family. This year’s annual event will take place on Saturday 7 December between 10am and 3pm, where Santa will be waiting to welcome residents to Barnsley’s iconic town hall.

The town hall will be bursting with festive activities, crafts and treats with something for all the family to enjoy. Father Christmas will be there, along with Mrs Christmas and their elves who will be eagerly waiting to meet the children of Barnsley. Due to the popularity of meeting Santa, booking will be essential with a number of time slots available throughout the day.

There will be plenty of other activities throughout the day:

  • A festive tombola
  • Gift wrapping stalls
  • Enjoy a mince pie while enjoying music and entertainment
  • Get creative and have fun with the Christmas crafts and activities

There will also be a number of council services at the event to share information about what the council can do to help residents and their families.

For more information and to book your slot with Santa, please visit our Experience Barnsley website and click on the Eventbrite link to make your booking. Please note that one ticket permits one family to meet Santa – a separate ticket is not required for each child. Bookings will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t hang around and book your place today.

Please bring your ticket or email as proof on the day and anyone without a valid booking will be unable to see Santa.
