COVID-19 home test kits for households with school or nursery children/staff made available to pick up from Barnsley Metrodome

Barnsley Metrodome has been added to the list of locations where households, support bubbles or childcare bubbles which include pupils or staff from nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools or colleges, can drop in to pick up a COVID-19 home testing kit.

Adults working in the wider school community who work with schools or pupils including bus drivers, childminders and after school club leaders can also pick up these tests from the Metrodome

Eligible people aged 18 and over can collect two packs of home test kits from the Metrodome, Queens Road, between 10am and 4.30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or 10am to 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

Each pack contains seven tests.

About one in three people with coronavirus (COVID-19) don't have symptoms, but can still pass it on to others. Regular testing of people without symptoms is important to help stop the virus spreading and protect your loved ones. As lockdown restrictions gradually ease, we all need to play our part to help protect each other.
