Gain the skills you need for a future in Barnsley's thriving hospitality sector

Our Skills and Employability service have a new Sector Routeways programme to help you develop the skills needed for a job in hospitality and unlock the benefits of learning and working through hands-on experience.

Starting on Monday 24 April, this two-week course will cover the skills you need to work in the hospitality and visitor economy sector and will provide you with several short qualifications. These include basic food hygiene level 2, emergency first aid at work, and the AQA introduction to hospitality sector award. The course also involves industry visits so you can see what goes on behind the scenes of local businesses.

You can also access support to develop your employability skills with our advisors, they'll help you with things like writing and updating your CV and preparing for interviews.
