Later in the day, the start-ups attended a special event held at the DMC to pitch their innovative ideas.
The project is a joint initiative between Enterprising Barnsley and IoT Tribe North, and will require the participating companies to also go on a trade mission to Singapore at some stage during the programme, providing a fantastic opportunity for those involved.
Cllr Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Place said: “This is a great opportunity to put Barnsley on the map as a venue for digital companies and one which welcomes inward investment.
“We have exciting plans for our future digital campus and provide first-class facilities at the Digital Media Centre.
