A consultation to gather views on a proposed housing licensing scheme in areas of Barnsley comes to an end this week.
Residents, tenants, landlords and other members of the community interested in the proposals are being encouraged to give feedback on the scheme before midnight on Sunday 24 September.
The introduction of a Selective Licensing Scheme is being explored as an option to help reduce anti-social behaviour and improve privately rented housing standards in four designated areas in Elesecar, Goldthorpe, Measbrough Dyke and Wombwell.
Further information on the scheme and a link to complete the consultation can be found at www.barnsley.gov.uk/selectivelicensing.
Cllr Jenny Platts, Cabinet Spokesperson for Communities, said: “I would encourage people to give us their views on the proposed selective licensing scheme. It is easy to provide us with your comments by completing the online consultation. Your views are important as we continue to focus on reducing antisocial behaviour and improving housing standards within the borough.
