Two NPS Barnsley schemes have been celebrated for their professionalism, excellence and innovation at the 2017 Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire (CCISY) Awards.
The team were awarded top prize for the following:
• Innovation Award – Landsolve Framework; a unique national land delivery framework of land brokers and advisers which enables public sector organisations to put their surplus/under-used assets to better use. Barnsley Council is the contracting authority for the framework, and NPS Barnsley manages it on behalf of the Council.
• Project of the Year under £5m – Cudworth Churchfield Primary; a community school project designed by NPS Barnsley and commissioned to manage the forecast of pupil places within the Cudworth area. It incorporated an elevated two-classroom extension to expand the capacity of the school. The concept maximised the limited space available to provide modern and effective internal and external learning environments for young children.
The CCISY Awards celebrate high-quality work by all sectors in the regions construction industry.
Managing Director of NPS Barnsley, Karen Temple, said: “We had six entries shortlisted on the night across four categories, so to have two come out on top was fantastic - well done to all involved!"
