The Cooper Gallery, Barnsley’s transforming town centre arts space, is proud to host an exciting new exhibition that celebrates ninety five wonderful years of the Barnsley Photographic Society.
95 – An exhibition celebrating 95 years of The Barnsley Photographic Society opens on Saturday, 23 November until Saturday, 22 February. It will be an eclectic range of images which highlights the versatility, skills and immense talent from the Society’s many members.
Visitors will be treated to a whole host of subjects, themes and styles in this delightful free show hosted in the Sadler Room of the Gallery.
The Society was formed in 1924 and is a member of the Yorkshire Photographic Union who is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
Barnsley Photographic Society welcomes members of all abilities and ages and offers mentoring to improve photography skills, talks, competitions, social events, outings and workshops.
