Last month Barnsley Council backed a campaign by the Local Government Association gather views on the issues and concerns surrounding adult social care.
The campaign seeks to lay the ground to secure sustainable long-term funding to ensure that people now and in the future can get the care and support they need.
The LGA is asking for people’s views on how adult social care should be funded and be delivered and heave written their own green paper for adult social care and wellbeing.
An easy read version of the green paper is now available making the information more accessible for those who may have a low rate of literacy or who speak English as an additional language, although other people can find it useful too.
Adult social care affects everyone so it’s important that as many people as possible have the opportunity to respond to the consultation.
