Consultation on Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) and Planning Advice Notes (PANs) is open for two more weeks, until Monday 14 October.
Following adoption of the Local Plan on 3 January 2019, the SPDs and PANs provide further detail, advice and guidance on specific topics and explain how these policies will be applied when considering planning applications.
The consultation started on Monday 16 September 2019 and will run for four weeks until Monday 14 October. All relevant documents are available on the council’s website and as paper copies at Library @ the Lightbox and all branches of Barnsley libraries.
The documents being consulted on include:
- Sustainable Travel
- Planning Obligations
- Section 38 agreements- relates to adoption of the highway
- Section 278 agreements – relates to works within the highway
- Development on land affected by contamination
- Elsecar Conservation Area Design and Maintenance Guide
- Cawthorne Village Design Statement
Cllr Tim Cheetham, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “We are now halfway through the consultation. I’d urge anyone who would like to comment on these documents to do so before Monday 14 October.
“This consultation is open to everyone. Please log on to our website, have a look at any documents that interest you and take the opportunity to comment. Your views are important to us, and all feedback will be analysed and used to inform our decisions moving forward.”
