THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY (PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 5 DEARNE)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2020
On 4 October 2021 the Council confirmed the above-named Order, the effect of which is to:-
- divert part of public bridleway no 5 Dearne which commences at the railway bridge at grid ref 4601/0615 and proceeds south west alongside the railway line for a distance of 295 metres to grid ref 4596/0586 onto a new line commencing at the same point at the railway bridge and proceeding generally south west parallel with the railway line for 300 metres to the same point at grid ref 4596/0586 aforesaid;
- create a public footpath commencing on the aforesaid bridleway at grid ref 4600/0613 running west for 17 metres to join the new estate road at grid ref 4599/0613; and
- create a public bridleway commencing on the aforesaid bridleway at grid ref 4597/0593 and proceeding west for 9 metres to join Park Way at grid ref 4596/0593, as shown on the order map.

The Order comes into force on 1 November 2021 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended), or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from the date of publication of this notice make an application to the High Court.
