THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 5 & 6, PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY 6 HOYLAND AND UNDEFINED FOOTPATH HOYLAND)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2021
The above-named Order, made on 27 September 2021 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 will:
- divert part of public footpath/bridleway no 6 Hoyland which commences 45 metres north east of the Dearne Valley Parkway underpass at grid reference 3532 / 0096 and proceeds generally north east along a track and through woodland to its junction with Hoyland footpath no. 5 adjacent to Shortwood Business Park at grid reference 3561 / 0123, and the full width of part of an unrecorded public right of way which commences on the aforementioned track at grid reference 3545 / 0117 and proceeds north east to grid reference 3546 / 0128, ONTO a new line commencing at the same point 45 metres north east of the Dearne Valley Parkway underpass at grid reference 3532 / 0096 aforesaid and proceeds north east parallel to the Parkway, generally north west along the new estate road and then north east to grid reference 3550 / 0142 a total distance of 630 metres;
- divert part of Hoyland public footpath no. 5 which commences to the west of Shortwood Business Park at grid reference 3557 / 0130 and proceeds generally north west to grid reference 3551 / 0141 for a distance of 175 metres ONTO a new line commencing at the same point to the west of Shortwood Business Park at grid reference 3557 / 0130 aforesaid and proceeds generally north west to the track at grid reference 3549 / 0139, a total distance of 135 metres.

Copies of the Orders and maps may be seen free of charge on the Council’s website at https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/public-notices/, at the Library at the Lightbox, 1 The Glassworks, Barnsley and at the Branch Library, 42 High Croft, Hoyland, Barnsley during normal business hours.
Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent or delivered in writing and addressed to the Legal Service Director and Solicitor to the Council, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634 Barnsley S70 9GG not later than 1 November 2021 quoting reference CR/PG/263/00346. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will also be sent.
