THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 40 WORSBROUGH)

PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2021 

The above-named Order, made on 27 September 2021 under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 will extinguish the full width of part of Worsbrough public footpath no. 40 situate to the north east of the Dearne Valley Parkway at Rockingham, which commences at grid reference 3509 / 0109 and proceeds south east to grid reference 3512 / 0105, a distance of 57 metres, as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order and map may be seen free of charge on the Council’s website at https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/public-notices/, at the Library at the Lightbox, 1 The Glassworks, Barnsley and at the Branch Library, 42 High Croft, Hoyland, Barnsley during normal business hours.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing and addressed to the Legal Service Director and Solicitor to the Council, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 634 Barnsley S70 9GG not later than 1 November 2021 quoting reference CR/PG/263/00346.  Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order.  If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will also be sent.
