Remember us...

Now Heaven Sent our gentle warriors come, No clarion calls to battle, no hollow drum, Sounding its futile roll, That spurs them through this vale of tears, Releasing precious breath from captive air, Where feathered Death wings, waiting on each soul And does not spare, These who have fallen on his spears.
No Heart Succumbs in fear, From duty turns, Or risk of death. And here true kindness burns ~ And fire of cause. Masked love brings breath, Hearts show no countenance, But bear the task And dedication is their sustenance.
New Heroes Serve, a new wind blows, From battle’s midst a different freedom grows, Love is blind, they say, that fights such foes Invisible, but these are bound, Even whilst defeated dead lie round, To forge still forward and in blindness grope, Driven by their passion and their hope.
New Hope Survives, when martialled by the brave, Who mourn for loss, yet every life they save, Swells victory and these, who may, remain, Their fallen brothers sing with praise ~ Men making chorus of these days, When hymned defiance is our last refrain.
Nations Hear Songs before unheard, One Nations choir, united in one word, Let that be Harmony, to set our people free From fears shackles, which have bound, Let their example spread the world around, These gentle warriors, who soft to battle come, And bring a message for Eternity.

Poem by Paul Thwaites
The Fight Against Covid 19
Remember Them
Remember those we lost and all they gave
Remember those who risked for us to save
Remember those who cared to make life safe
Remember those who toiled in our harm’s way
Remember all of them in days to come
For without them the fights not won.
Remember them
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who lost loved ones.
