Cookery

Our cookery courses are informal and friendly. They're suitable for those who enjoy food and want to further their cooking skills using fresh and mostly seasonal ingredients.

Cooking for pleasure courses are small informal classes of up to eight learners. You'll be given the opportunity to explore different styles and cultures in cookery, as well as traditional cuisine.

Our classes are held across the borough at various times during the day and evening. The classes are delivered by a very versatile team of experienced tutors.

5 weeks.

Course content

  • Selection of a recipe
  • Selection and preparation of ingredients
  • Weighing & measuring
  • Following a recipe
  • Adapting a recipe to cater for tastes, quantities, special diets
  • Using a variety of tools & equipment
  • Meal planning & preparation

No previous knowledge is required

Course fees

The cost of the course is £63.00 which includes all tuition, and registration fees.

How to apply

Call us for more information or to book your place. You'll need to take your National Insurance number to the first session.  You'll also need to provide the ingredients for your chosen recipes and a container to take your dishes home in.
