Adult Skills and Community Learning

This course is for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who want to improve their maths skills.

Length of course

Classes are two hours long.

The course runs for four to seven weeks (dependent on length of term).

Course content

You'll work towards improving your maths skills to achieve your personal goals. These may include:

  • read, write and order numbers 
  • add and take-away numbers
  • estimations and rounding
  • money skills
  • time
  • multiplication and division

Course fees

The cost of the course varies depending on length and includes all tuition and materials.

If you're under 24, or receive certain benefits, you may be entitled to a fee reduction or remission. See our information about paying for a course for details.
