Adult Skills and Community Learning
Our computer and digital skills courses cater for complete beginners through to learners looking to study for a level 2 qualification.
Whether you want to gain basic computer skills, become creative with presentations, improve your confidence in using spreadsheets to manage your budget, or become part of the digital world and develop the digital skills that you need for life, work or further study, these courses have plenty to offer you.
The national digital entitlement from August 2020 will fully fund adults (19+) with no or low digital skills to undertake a new qualification called Essential Digital Skills (EDS). You'll be supported to use digital devices like tablets, smart phones and laptop computers and learn how to perform everyday activities like how to navigate the internet, send an email, use video call to keep in touch with family and friends, be confident in making online payments and know how to stay safe online.
If you've not been in a learning environment, or unsure if EDS is the pathway for you, then the Getting Started with Digital Skills course will help you to make that choice. This introductory course is also fully funded.
It is estimated that one in five adults lack the basic digital skills they need for everyday life and work, let us help you to improve your digital skills.
All of our courses are delivered in a supportive, friendly and professional environment.
