City and Guilds Award/Certificate for IT Users Level 1

This fast track course is designed for learners who want to build on their existing experience and basic knowledge to improve their understanding of Microsoft applications. It's a good step towards further education or employment and allows you to achieve a Level 1 qualification in eight weeks.

Length of course

6.75 hours a week for eight weeks (5.75 hours alternate weeks)

Course content

To achieve the Certificate (13 credits) you'll need to complete the following modules:

  • improving productivity using IT (3 credits)
  • word processing (3 credits)
  • spreadsheet software (3 credits)
  • presentation software (3 credits)
  • using the internet (1 credit)

Entry requirements

The course is a natural progression from an entry level IT qualification or for learners with existing IT skills. A basic understanding of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications would be an advantage.

Course fees

The cost of the course is £205.82 which includes all tuition, materials, and registration fees with the awarding body.
