Improve your skills and gain a qualification.

This qualification is suitable for learners who want:

  • a formal GCSE maths qualification
  • to demonstrate your maths skills on a CV
  • progress on to further or higher education

Course duration 

The course is 30 weeks. Each week you'll attend one 3 hour class and complete a piece of homework. 

Course content

You'll develop your maths skills in classroom activities and through homework tasks. You'll then apply your skills to solve real life maths problems.

 The topics are:

  • using numbers
  • algebra
  • geometry
  • measures
  • statistics
  • probability

Entry requirements

You'll need to already be working at a high level two standard and have completed a level 2 functional maths qualification.

Course fees

If you don't already have A*-C or grade 4-9 GCSE maths then these courses are free.

How to apply

You need to book an appointment for a pre-course assessment before you can start the course, to make sure it's suitable for your needs.

At the appointment you'll be able to discuss your needs with one of our tutors and will also complete a maths assessment. Depending on your ability the assessment can take 2 to 3 hours to complete.
