Barnsley's Local Offer for SEN and Disability

Our Local Offer

Barnsley's Local Offer is a single access point for information about services and support for children and young people from birth to 25, with a special educational need or disability (SEND), and their families.

It's purpose is to make sure that children, young people and families can access the right information at the right time and are able to make informed choices.

How to access it

You can access the Local Offer on our website, on your smartphone, or tablet.

The website is just a part of the offer. We also have a dedicated Family Involvement and Information Officer who can help you access Local Offer information and give specific support. Give them a call on 0800 0345 340 or fill in our online form.

Give us feedback

The Local Offer is for your benefit, so you should be involved in it's development.

We're continually working alongside families who live in the borough to improve our offer, so we'd love to hear your feedback.

If you can't find what you need or you want to comment on the Local Offer, please use our online form.

Using the Local Offer

If you think that your child needs some additional support to meet their needs, or if you're a young person in need of extra help, use our Local Offer to find out what's available and who to contact to access this help and support.

Using the Local Offer is easy.  You can search the A-Z here or you can choose one of the categories below. You can also search by your postcode and filter your results to make it easier to find what you're looking for.

You can also tailor information to yours and your child's needs by creating your own shortlist.
