Role of a Change Champion

Children’s reforms represent a unique opportunity to transform the way we support and empower children, young people and families. Creating environments within which all children, young people and families can access when and where they need. Providing opportunities and opening doors for the limitless potential that every child possesses. To achieve these transformative changes, we need champions of change - individuals who are passionate, dedicated, and ready to make a meaningful difference.

Breaking the cycle of inequalities that prevent children from reaching their full potential.  Change Champions play a vital role in breaking these cycles by:

• raising awareness about the urgent need for reforms and ensuring children's voices are heard
• working together and partnering with organisations, education, healthcare professionals, policymakers and children and parents to amplify impact
• using and sharing resources to support, advocate and sharing our innovative solutions that drive meaningful progress
• inspiring and encouraging our communities to embrace change and support initiatives that prioritise children's development

How to get involved

You don't need any specific background just your commitment to making  a difference. You'll need to:

• sign up - complete the form to register your interest
• attend champion meetings - bi monthly meetings to keep up to date with recent and relevant information
• educate yourself - become familiar with the Families First Programme guidance and understand how it works
• speak up - use your voice to advocate for change in conversations, social media and public platforms
• empower others - encourage like minded people to join and be Change Champions
• share success stories - provide examples and/or case studies of the positive impact of being a Change Champion
