August is all about dance and movement so get ready to move your body and learn a new dance or two!

Dancing Town is back for 2022 with a diverse range of free dance workshops, taking place throughout August, leading to a big finale in September, in collaboration with The Civic's annual Civic Garden Party.

Due to unforeseen issues in the event space at the Library @ the Lightbox that require emergency repairs, sessions have been relocated to Nova City or The Dancebox. Please check individual listings for venue details.

All bookings remain valid for the new location and we apologise for any inconvenience. If you have any queries please email eventsplanning@barnsley.gov.uk

Every Wednesday and Saturday during August you can get moving and join one of the many dance workshops available.

Each workshop has limited places and recommends a suitable age for participation. Please book tickets only for those taking part in the workshop (any accompanying parents/guardians don't need tickets).
