Our digital champions run a range of sessions to help you get online.
If you need some support to use any of our online council services, you can get one-to-one help at an online support session. If you'd like to learn all about how to use a computer or tablet to access the internet, find information, use email and more, you might be interested in joining one of our free online basics courses.
Online support sessions to use our services
These one-to-one sessions will give you more confidence using a computer, tablet or smartphone to access our online council services.
We can help you with things like:
- filling in our online forms to apply for or report something to us
- using our My Bentax system to view your Council Tax or benefits accounts
- searching for and applying for a council house
- using the eBooks and eAudio service from Barnsley Libraries
Sessions take about 45 minutes. You can bring your own device with you if you have one, or you can use one of ours on the day.
During COVID-19 (coronavirus) we are offering remote support sessions instead of our usual face to face sessions.
We have also created several guides to using the internet to stay in touch with others.
Online banking sessions
To learn all about online and mobile banking you can join us at one of our dedicated sessions. You'll find out how to register and use the service safely, as well as how to keep your information secure.
We'll be running more of these sessions in the future; fill in our online form to register your interest in attending.
