School and class closures due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

All schools in Barnsley are currently closed to most pupils, in line with national restrictions in place from Tuesday 5 January. Please read our statement about this from Mel John-Ross, Executive Director of Children's Services

There are exceptions for vulnerable children and the children of some key workers. You should contact your school for advice if you think that this applies to you.

Early years providers, such as nurseries and childminders can continue to stay open.
