Getting a COVID-19 test in Barnsley

Mobile testing units were recently in place across the borough to make it easier for local people to get tested. This gave us a significant boost to local testing capacity, one of the first lines of defence in reducing infections, as well as making it more accessible to more people.

We hope to be able to offer more of these mobile testing units shortly.

Meanwhile, you can continue to get a test from the main unit at lower County Way car park.

Only those being tested should be at the test site. If you can’t leave your family at home they may come with you but must wear a face covering. However, children under the age of three will not be permitted as it would be unsafe for them to wear a face covering.
