Biblio Beats Festival 2023
Barnsley Libraries will be celebrating music with an exciting three month programme running April to June 2023.
We’ll be hosting We Great Ladies, Concerteenies, Launchpad and many more talented music artists into our libraries. They'll be bringing you workshops, concerts and talks – there’s something for everyone!
As our Artists in Residence, We Great Ladies will be working with young people. They'll be at Library @ the Lightbox and Royston Library. Young people will explore how to express their creative side and produce new pieces of music. This music will be showcased at Barnsley Live 2023.

Motifs Artist Commissions
Earlier in the year we launched a call out for artists as part of Biblio Beats Festival. We worked with a panel of young people from Barnsley to decide which would be successful. We’re excited to introduce Sonic Whispers produced by Emma Denby and Carl Cole. Also Suggestion Box Songs produced by Nicholas Lewis!
Biblio Beats is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Motifs Commission: Suggestion Box Songs. Performer, composer, and community musician.
Concerteenies
Creating musical opportunities for children aged 0-7 in the South Yorkshire area.
