Types of award

The King's Award for Enterprise honours great UK companies. It helps to promote the growth of British business.

There are four types of awards:

  • International trade
  • Innovation
  • Sustainable development
  • Promoting opportunity through social mobility

The King's Award for Enterprise Promotion is awarded to those who encourage business skills and attitudes in others.

The awards are made annually by His Majesty The King. They're only given for the highest levels of excellence and are judged to a high level. The winners get a number of benefits and recognised worldwide.

Previous corporate winners have come from a diverse range of business sectors. They include both large and small businesses. receivers of the award have been from varied social and professional backgrounds.

The closing date for entries is the last working day of September each year. Winners are announced on 21 April the following year.
